Websites Where You Get Paid To Write

Are you looking for real writing jobs? If so, you are in luck since you found this article. I will be going over how to find different types of writing jobs and freelance jobs on the internet. The best part about writing online is that you get to work at your own pace and make your schedule. That’s something that everyone is looking for, so let’s get started.

If you are interested in writing jobs from home a great site to try is Textbroker. This site will probably not pay the rent, but it is a great way to make some extra spending money. Even if you have no prior experience writing, you can put in an application by writing a short article. They will grade the sample of your writing on a 2-5 scoring system. A level 2 writer gets paid the least, and a 5 gets paid the best, although you can upgrade your status by writing better articles.

All the articles you do through Textbroker are gone over by their editors and graded 2-5. Your score is always based on the last five articles you have written.

They often have a large queue of articles for writers to pick from. Topics can cover virtually anything but often include home decorations, travel, finance, and health. If a requester approves your article, the money will be put into you account, which is then paid out every two weeks.

There are a few other websites available to write for as well. Hubpages pays better, but requires their writers to be more skilled. They use the same rating system as textbroker. You may also want to try Writer Access. It does not cost anything to put in application, so you lose absolutely nothing by at least trying.

There are lots of people looking for written content, and who are willing to pay for it. Check out some of these sites, and put your writing skills to good use.

A Simple Way To Make An Income Online

Millions of people each year are looking for ways to make money online but very few ever succeed.  Their are a lot of reasons for this but most of it comes down to doing the right things and being consistent long enough to see them through.  So in this article I’m going to give you a simple process you should follow to do just this.

First, before you we get started you need to choose a topic you want your website to be about.  I’ve found writing on a topic that you are passionate about helps out greatly because you will be much more likely to stick with it.  Once you’ve chosen a topic you want to cover you need to build a website.  This actually very simple to do.  Simply go to wordpress.org and they will walk you through a step by step process to getting started.

Second, you need to start putting content on you website to do this simply start writing articles that you might find helpful to others.  For example, if your site is cars and fixing them you might write an article on how to change your oil.  That way people will find it useful an by doing this you stand a much better chance of being found in the search engines.  On top of writing content for your own site think about guest posting on other peoples sites.  Guest posting on similar sites related to your topic will spread the word about your site and by putting a link in the article back to your site it will also help boost it in the search engines bringing in even more traffic.

Finally, the last thing you need to do is monetize your site to earn money.  One way to do this is with Google AdSense.  The great thing about AdSense is that it is relatively easy to set up and very low maintenance.  Typical earnings with AdSense very but their are people making as much as $10,000 and more.  Another way to monetize your site is to join an affiliate program that sells a specific product that is related to your site.  For example going back to the car example if your showing people how to do an oil change maybe you show an affiliate program that sells oil and every time someone buys you could earn a commission.

In the end this is a very simple passive income opportunity.  Just follow the basic steps and stay consistent and over time you’ll eventually start to make an income online.

Real Estate Leads and Search Engine Optimization Go Hand In Hand

These days, it is much easier to generate real estate leads thanks to a little thing called the Internet.  It has put a new face on the way we go about generating quality leads.  However, it is not as easy as all that.  You cannot just put up a website, blog or newsletter.  You have to have a splash page to draw the right people into your list.  Legitimate leads are people who are looking to buy a house or sell their home.  They sign up for your services because you are a real estate agent and you have great information for them.

Search Engine Optimization

Generating real estate leads for agents using a splash page is also tricky.  Even if you know how to build a good splash page, it does little for you unless it will appear at the top of a search engine search.  That means you must be proficient in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in order to get a good rank.  SEO is the use of keywords or keyword phrases that a user would likely put into a search engine, along with other tricks like having external links, images, videos and other small techniques that help search engine spiders find you and rank you.

Rank High with Keywords

Choosing the keywords that you want to use is also a vital part of how to get real estate leads using a splash page.  While there are websites out there that will generate very good keywords, including Google, you will also have great success using common sense.  Write down all of the keywords you would use to find real estate leads for agents and compare them to the top articles or websites that come up during your search.  You can figure out how often a keyword is used in these top ranking websites by counting the keywords and averaging them to the number of words on the page.  This is called keyword saturation.  Saturation will vary according to what type of page you have, like an article of website copy.

You Have the Control

When you buy real estate leads from a website, you really have no control over the quality of the real estate leads with which you wind up.  Creating a splash page that is clear in its intent will net you high quality real estate leads because the people who sign up are looking for what you advertise.  You buy and sell homes.  Like an outdoor security camera, you are always on the lookout for great real estate leads.  If you have doubts about your ability to master this type of advertising, there are plenty of starving freelance writers out there who have a good working knowledge of how to attain high search engine rankings.

Advanced Internet Marketing Tips

Most struggling internet marketers begin to suspect that they aren’t doing enough to become successful. They think that there has to be more to it than just writing articles. And to a certain extent they are well justified in their suspicions. They develop a desire to learn more advanced internet marketing techniques and strategies.

Niche Marketing Sites

Everyone learns the niche marketing model when they first decide to investigate making money online. They find sites that explain that keywords are what drives traffic to their websites. They learn how to look up keywords and estimate what their value to the internet marketer may be. After a time though, they learn that there is more to successful internet marketing than just looking up keywords.

Webhosting

When starting out in an internet marketing endeavor, one of the first considerations is where to host your website. Whereas at one time free hosting was common, it is becoming less so today. Most internet marketers now use paid hosting. There is a suspicion that the search engines won’t give the same weight to a website that is on a free host as one that is using a paid hosting server.

How To Get The Best Results From Advanced Internet Marketing

Learning to use the search engines properly is of paramount importance. Your source of customers is the search engines. It is vital to learn what to do in order to get your website listed at the top of the search engine results pages. If you can’t get your site up into the top 3, you will pay for it in lost revenue whether it is derived from customers or programs like Google Adsense. Stop and think for a moment. Do you look any further than the first three or four results? Most people won’t, and that’s why it’s critical to learn to use advanced internet marketing strategies.
Among the advanced strategies employed by successful internet marketers are experiments with such elements as placement of ads, or trying different writing styles. These things and others of a similar nature must be constantly varied. What works in one site may not work in another. For those that are interested there is software that can help with these experiments. By continuously trying different things it is possible to excel at advanced internet marketing.

Article Marketing Experts Work

Business is a field that is often focused on why people buy the products that they do. This is done in order to determine the products that people are most interested in and help them to buy more of these products. This research can also help to discover exactly which features people like about any given product. Once you are able to determine this you will be able to produce a line of similar products with the same features. Since people enjoyed them in previous products they will enjoy them in future products also. However, this line of strategy does not account for the problem of market saturation that occurs when people have too much of a similar product. This is the best way to see that too much of a good thing is often a bad thing. Successful companies are able to avoid the horrors of excess revenue and unused services by using article marketing experts. This helps them to create a demand for their new line of products instead of focusing on past success.

If you doubt the results that this technique can provide for any company, you can try it for yourself by using a free seo article. That will allow you to advertise and promote a product that you are interested in creating new trends toward. The article will help to drive people to your site and they will be very interested in the new products that you are offering, these techniques are used every day in business and they have provided a lot of revenue for the most successful websites. Creating a demand for new problems can help to avoid excess inventory while also allowing you to generate profits that you have never achieved before. This technique works by taking advantage of technology and helping you to avoid the wrong approach.

seo tutorials – SEO Link Vine Review

Brad Callen, the SEO guru has launched his latest service called the SEO link vine. He is well known for his other products that he launched in the past like SEO elite, Keyword elite and various other products and services. This new tool or service that he has introduced in the SEO market is about being able to syndicate your articles to the blog network or to join the network in order to get fresh content.

By becoming a part of the various blog networks using link vine, you are able to generate more traffic to your website and also develop more back links.

The purpose of such blog network is to generate back-links and traffic. Most Internet marketers write articles and submit them to article directories for the same effect, but the submission process is time consuming, the quality of most directories is low and that affects the results can you get.

SEO Link Vine the right way, can be deadly effective in:

1. Grabbing near endless top 10 rankings for nearly any keyword you want in Google2. Driving thousands of free visitors to your niche websites3. Turning those visitors into paying customers that stuff your affiliate account with real job-ending income 3 times over.

Brad Callen realised the fact that most internet marketers would earlier write articles and then submit them to the various article directories. This was the only way to generate back links and traffic to their content and their articles page. This process was not only too time consuming but also the quality of most submission directories was not too great either. This in turn would affect the overall result of the internet marketers and the traffic that the article or the website would generate in a negative manner.

Now, this new service or tool that Brad Callen has launched allows you to submit as many articles you want for a monthly fee. Thus, this network submits and distributes your articles automatically over a period of time to different blogs which are of good quality.

The great thing about networks like SEO Link Vine is that for a monthly fee you can submit as many articles as you want and have them distributed automatically over time to blogs of a decent quality. There are many advantages of that.

First of all, it’s fast and easy – you don’t have to spend hours submitting articles, and you don’t even have to wait for your article submitter do it if you use one. Next, the distribution is natural in terms of search engine optimization. You need a continuous flow of links and using such a network removes the extra hustle to regularly submit articles – all you have to do is submit them once and forget about them.

Secondly, in terms of search engine optimisation, the distribution system is absolutely natural. The process of article submission needs a continuous flow of submission links. And when you use a service like Link Vine, it helps you get rid of all the extra hassles that are involved in submitting articles regularly. So all you need to do is just submit your article once and then forget about them.

Looking at SEO Link Vine from another perspective, it’s a source of fresh content for your site. If you need content, you can plug in your website to get content written and submitted to you by other members automatically.

Brad Callen’s Link Vine thus helps you to get quick and immediate results for your article submission and provides you with a fresh source for your content.

Multi Use Seo Software – Why One Should Choose Multi Use Software?

Multi use SEO software is a search engine optimization software that optimizes SEO and automates traffic through a single click. With the current scenario of staying on top of the search engine results and to be the leader of the market, has become an essential need.

Search engine optimization essentially deals with optimization of your website’s code, content and web analytic data so as to rank your website highly by the search engines. Previously this was done manually by employing various techniques, both online and offline. But now with kind of software like this most of the job is done automatically with very little manual input.

Grey Hat, White Hat or Black Hat SEO Tutorial. Which Do You Choose?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) refers to a set of techniques that are performed on a website with the intention of increasing its search engine rankings. SEO can be performed during the programming stages, while planning and producing content, and by exchanging links or by building one-way links.

Now SEO is big business because if performed well it has the potential to catapult a website to the top of the search engine rankings. Getting on top of search engine rankings is like getting free front-page exposure in an oracle that caters to a billion Dollar market. Naturally, websites are keen to make it to the top and this has generated a massive demand for SEO firms.

Well, there are two types of SEO techniques – Ethical, also known as White Hat SEO and Unethical, also called Black Hat SEO. The lure of getting prime exposure has brought to the surface many firms and individuals who try to adopt unscrupulous SEO techniques to fool the search engines into giving a website top exposure. Of course, there are those too who work by the book – this is how both these techniques work:

WHITE HAT SEO TECHNIQUES

White hat SEO techniques are solid, credible, quality techniques that ensure that a website gets to the top and stays there. Here are some of the popular ones:

1. Great Content: For SEO purposes content is not just king – it is the emperor. If you upload quality content that is well written, informative and entertaining, then search engines will fall in love with your website. Of course, you must ensure that keywords relevant to your website’s theme are built into your content. Search engine algorithms are always on the lookout for websites that provide quality content that is of use to their surfers – so, well, content rules.

2. Programming techniques: SEO while programming a website involves placing search-engine-friendly text in the meta tags, building a clear and concise website structure that can bring up the searched-for content in a jiffy, using structural mark-ups, and building in tags in the title, subtitles and the footers of every content page.

3. Solid keyword research and use: Before developing content, you must figure out the most popular keywords relevant for your website’s theme. To do this you will have to conduct a thorough research using keyword tools provided by major search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Some SEO firms also use third-party software such as WordTracker for keyword analysis. Once SEO firms get their finger on the most expensive and effective keywords, they skillfully build them into the content.

4. Link building: SEO firms trade links with other reputed websites. When a website’s links spread, its search engine rankings automatically go up. Nowadays, may website owners get articles written and submit them to reprint directories, where other websites who need content can pick them up. Of course, the trick in article submission lies in including a resource box at the end of the article that points back to your website.

BLACK HAT SEO TECHNIQUES

Unscrupulous SEO firms use black hat SEO techniques to fool the search engines. These techniques are shortcuts that can take you here and there, but ultimately lead to a dead end. Here are some of the common black hat SEO techniques:

1. Veiled content: The website is stuffed with popular keywords that form part of the background color scheme, and hence are not visible to a surfer. The idea is to trick the search engine into picking up the hidden content.

2. Keyword-spammed content: There are SEO firms who do not get quality content written – instead, they plug in all blah-blah content that is spammed with keywords. The idea is the same – to trick the search engines.

3. Redirecting: Many unscrupulous SEO firms own a bunch of websites that have already been indexed by search engines. When you approach them for SEO, they may plant a code on their existing websites redirecting their links back to your website.

4. Cloaking: Using this technique, SEO firms direct specified content towards search engine spiders but do not hoist it on the website, because it is useless.

5. Tag spam: Meta-tags and other tags of a website, which are used by search engine spiders to quick-reference or index a website are spammed with keywords using this technique.

6. Links from link farms: Link farms represent a humungous amount of useless, content-less websites. Unscrupulous SEO firms use these link farms for building backlinks.

Black Hat SEO can finish a website

Remember that if you use black hat SEO tricks on your website, you might as well write it off. That is because search engine algorithms are getting smarter by the day and now can sniff out useless content, hidden text, redirections and other foul SEO methods. Once search engines figure out that a website is up to mischief then they blacklist it – and once blacklisted, a website is suspended from the search engine’s index and is not picked up until and unless all the black hat SEO is removed. Plus, when a website’s visitors come to know that it is using black hat techniques they will get put off and stay away from it.

To sum up, black hat SEO techniques can destroy a website or business opportunity, while white hat SEO techniques can make it flourish in the long run. Go ahead, make your choice!

The SEO Techniques Everyone Should Know

Since the beginning of the understanding of Search Engine Optimization – SEO – there have been tons of different theories developed about how to do it “right”. The truth is, however, that there is no one single method that is one hundred percent known to be better than the rest. Since the large search engines such as Google and Yahoo! don’t release the details of their ranking elements – in addition to the fact that they are constantly changing what these elements are, and how they are weighted in the grand scheme of things – we can only apply the efforts that have been tested and have worked for a given online marketing effort.

The following are the SEO techniques that have been known to work for marketing strategies used by experienced web designers and webmasters. Keep in mind that SEO is an ever-changing experience, and that while these techniques will work for you today, they may not be the same when tomorrow arrives.

1. Google AdWords – this is an SEO technique specifically offered by Google to make certain that you are indeed getting use out of the keywords you want to use. This technique is considered to be quite cost-effective for achieving good search results for your website. It works by allowing you to state the maximum amount that you are willing to spend on a daily basis on your chosen keywords. This can be changed monthly as you witness the results that the Google AdWords SEO technique brings you.

2. Overture Keywords – similar to Google’s AdWords, you can choose the keywords you want, however, you cannot limit your daily spending, so this may be an issue if you’re on a tight budget. However, it has been found to be quite cost effective when balanced against the number of new visitors and active customers created.

3. Yahoo! Regional Directories – when you have your site indexed by Yahoo! Regional Directories – a place where submission is free – then you will always be in their list. Many new clients are found through this reliable process.

4. Keywords, Site Descriptions, Alt-Tags, Title Tags, and Page Content – these are the main focus of SEO experts and SEO businesses today. These are the five elements that take the most amount of effort when optimizing websites. It all has to do with what is contained within the coding of your website. Unless you are truly confident that you know what you’re doing, it is very beneficial to hire a professional SEO company to ensure that you’re including all of the right elements, and doing it properly. Have this done before you submit your site to the different search engines, or re-submit your site after you’ve done your SEO for your website. SEO is well worth paying for to ensure that it is done properly. Professionals will know which keywords to use, how to use them, and how to make sure that they are properly laid out for search engine spiders to crawl the site. Furthermore “illegal” tactics will never be used, which can result in having your website permanently banned from search engines.

5. Online Directories – by submitting your website to any number of different free online directories, you will have an excellent new path for prospective customers to follow to find you. Many are free, others include a nominal charge. If there is a fee involved, do some investigation into the directory first, to make sure that it is worth the money.

6. The Open Directory Project – this is one of the primary resources utilized by the big search engines such as Google for sending their spiders out to crawl new sites. The directory is entirely maintained by humans – that is, every site submitted is reviewed and indexed by a person, not a spider. This does mean that it takes additional time to have your site indexed, but it is well worth the wait.

7. A Blog – adding a blog to your website is a fantastic method for continuing to attract new and repeat visitors to your website. They are drawn to the fresh new content that is constantly being added.

8. Make It Great – Search Engine Optimizing (SEO) is only as good as the website it supports. If you bring lots of visitors to your website, and it has nothing to offer them, or the content is terrible, all of your efforts will be in vain.

Organic SEO

Organic search engine optimization involves the application of a set of techniques and practices to make a website appear in the first page results of popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.

Organic SEO brings you several benefits and the most important of them is free, targeted traffic to your website through search engines. Expert SEO promotion can help your website achieve high position in Search Engine Results Pages (SERP).

Expert SEO promotion utilizes several techniques like building content rich website, facilitating better user experience with easy to navigate website design, build links the site from relevant pages of other websites, directory submission, article marketing, blog promotion, etc.

Organic search engine optimization is not a one-time affair. Constant monitoring is required to keep your website at the top of SERP and to ensure you are ahead of your competition. Daily traffic analysis, analysis of SERP positioning of the website for specific keywords and analysis of competition play important roles in planning specific strategies and practices to ensure top search engine positions.

The alternative to organic search engine optimization is search engine advertising, where you buy clicks from the search engines for a price. In this case, your website will be listed separately as ‘sponsored results’ and cost you money for each click on your links. Organic search engine optimization doesn’t require you to pay any money, even if you get hundreds or thousands of visitors a day. This is the advantage of organic search engine optimization, where the search engines compete to send you traffic, provided your website is relevant to the search query invoked by the search engine user.

SEO promotion experts analyze in detail how websites are ranked by different search engines.

The most favorable conditions for organic search engine optimization are listed below.

- An easy to navigate website, where each page of your website is reachable in one or two clicks

- Anchor text (text in the links). This is applicable to both inbound links from other websites and interlinking of pages within a website.

- Rich text content

- Inbound links from highly ranked, relevant websites

- Stable URLs (that is URLs without session ids, especially applicable for ecommerce sites)

- Clutter-free HTML/code, with predictable hierarchy of page elements using header tags

Keyword research is another area that requires elaborate brainstorming. In fact organic search engine optimization starts with keyword research, as the first step before registering for a domain name and before starting the initial design stages of a website.

Expert SEO promotion involves the use of professional keyword research tools that give juicy details about popular keywords that people use to find websites in different industries. Knowing the popular keywords and aiming for achievable targets help in better organic search engine optimization.

Search Engine Optimization (seo) Guideline, a Guaranteed Blueprint

Suppose you have a website about plastic surgery. You have invested a lot of time putting valuable information, videos, pictures, forms to enlist subscribers, free reports and the rest of good stuff. To your misfortune, you decide one day to Google your website out so you sit in front your PC, open your browser, open up Google and type “plastic surgery” and hit the enter button. For the amount of work done which sure to be proud of you expect your website name and URL to be listed at least in the first 5 pages of the search results. To your dismay you keep looking and looking, but you don’t find even in the first 50 pages of the search results. Welcome to the latest internet age where the World Wide Web is saturated enough with millions and millions of websites that cover every topic and subject you can think of.

In the past, it was relatively easy to have your website indexed and seen in the first few pages of search engine results, but it is much more difficult now. Google in particular, the king of search engines, has been making life harder and harder for website owners and SEO specialists to get good ranking in its search results. To the point that even if you use pay per click campaigns or PPC (paying to get good rankings) and your website isn’t optimized, you still will not get good positions with cost effective bids on your ads! This is how hard it has become.

You probably heard of the short word SEO in many websites and forums, which is an abbreviation of Search Engine Optimization. In fact, I can assure you that you probably have heard of SEO many more times than the long word because everybody uses the short name. It is one of the hottest and most pursued topics in today’s saturated internet era and you should have probably guessed why by now if you have some knowledge about how search engines function. If not, don’t worry as this is why I’m writing this article.

SEO is a set of optimization steps and procedures that website owners and programmers undertake to improve their ranking in organic (unsponsored) search engine results. Why is it important? Because if done, it translates to huge amounts of free traffic versus paying for it in sponsored results like pay per click campaigns. This by itself saves thousands of dollars of advertising costs which other advertisers pay gladly to attract traffic and make their ads placed in better positions in search engine results. One important point that I have to clarify is that distributing so many links pointing back to your website around the internet and getting free traffic from it doesn’t by itself mean that your website is optimized as many people might think. Your website is optimized only if you see your website address within the first 1 to 5 pages of the organic (unpaid) search engine results.

Now let’s get to the good stuff…how to optimize a website to be visible in the first few pages of search engine results. The rules that Google demands have become harder and harder and a lot has to be done for a website to get to that sweet spot in the first page of Google search results. I’m going to list the tasks that have to be done for maximum optimization of your website. All has to be done to get better results. Doing it needs time, dedication and might require probably some more knowledge about HTML and website structure. If you don’t have some background and haven’t used an HTML editor before, I recommend that you read more books or guides on the subject and practice a bit on a simple HTML editor like Front Page. Here are the tasks you have to do. Pay attention to the ranking:-

1-    Your website URL: – That’s the first thing to consider. Your domain name should be the first thing you optimize before anything else. Let’s go back to the plastic surgery website example. A good name would be “plasticsurgeon. com” or “plasticsurgery. com”. Notice that the URL directly clarifies what content is exactly in that website. In case if the words you chose were already taken by others, you can try alternative arrangement of words or come up with synonyms that serve the same meaning like “cosmeticsurgery. com” or “plasticbeauty. com”. A bad choice would be “beautylab. com” or “facefactory. com”. Notice how I used the “. com” in every example as this is what you should aim for. “. com” extensions are the preferred by search engines and more popular.

2-    Content is king: – If I have to say this thousand times I will! Have really good content in your website and I mean a minimum of 10 pages of original good content in your website. Original content means it is not duplicated a lot online, it is your own original work (not a copy), has reasonable, but not excessive keyword density, perfect spelling and grammatically correct and is rich and informative.

3- Your website title: – No I don’t mean the title you have their on your website’s front page. I mean the title within the HTML code in your home page or is called the index. The index is the first page a browser will go to once your domain is called. Before the body tag and after the head tag there is a title tag. You have to fill in your website title in there to look for example like this “Plastic Surgery guide”. This is important because it is the first thing search engines will read to know what your website is all about. Your title has to be brief and to the point. 5 words maximum in my opinion.

4- Your Meta tags: – These are important tags in your HTML code that serve many purposes. Search engine love them. You can find them right after the body tags previously mentioned. You can use your meta tags to:-

a. Describe your website:- Write a brief description about your website. Not too long though. 20 words max. Search engines will read this to know what your website is all about. For example “Plastic Surgery issues and topics. Know the pros and cons before you think about doing cosmetic surgery”

b. Keywords for your website:- Write the keywords relevant to your website topic. 5 to 10 highly relevant keyword is good. Don’t flood the keyword tag with non relevant keywords thinking you will attract more attention. For example:- plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, face lift, bone construction, face restructuring etc.

c. To direct search engine crawlers to strictly follow only your home page or certain important pages in your website. Crawlers are used by search engines to find and index websites by sending robots or spiders to crawl pages and index them.

Apply as much of these meta tags on your website to suit your purposes specially the description and keyword tags.

5- The headlines and the subheads in your content. It organizes the content and search engines will read it and will like your content because it is organized. You have to use HTML headline tags in the code around your headlines. Put level 1 head tags around your main headline and level 2, 3, 4 etc. or lower importance headlines.

6- Use sitemaps: A sitemap is a XML document that has the names and paths of all files and folders of your website. It is created and placed in the root directory of your website. The sitemap is really important for search engines because it serves like the directory for your website and shows the crawlers where the other pages of your website are so they can crawl and index them too. This is important because a search result can lead to any of your pages not only to your home page. Using sitemaps you can also specify how often you want search engine spiders to crawl you website! You can create one for free in a website called XML-sitemaps. com. Once created, you should go to Google webmasters tools page and add the sitemap so Google crawlers can find its path.

7- Use videos: – Search engines of these days like videos. Place a couple of nice videos in your website. You can make videos yourself or you can simply pick a video you like from YouTube, copy the imbed code and paste in the desired place into your HTML codethat’s it. Google owns YouTube you know and they like videos!

8- Use your images to be found: – Search engine love images. Make your website colorful with nice and relevant images. Place a description on your images that will lead to your website if an image search was done. In the HMTL code of your pictures place an “alt” tag and pick a good name for the picture that has keywords relevant to your website.

9- Set up a blog and connect it to your website: – Choose word press (the most spread) or blog spot (Google owned). The kind of blog I’m talking about is a blog that is hosted by your own server and its files and folders exist in your website’s root folder not the blog’s server. A lot of hosting accounts have a feature in their c-panel for an easy 3 clicks blog setup. Google likes blogs and it will help you a lot to have one.

10- As many relevant links to your website as possible: – notice that I mentioned it late, not to degrade its importance, but simply to show that it isn’t the single most important thing in SEO. Try to make as many high ranking websites that have topics relevant to you link to your website. I mean one way link as 2 way reciprocal links will not work as before. Find high ranking websites about plastic and cosmetic surgery and ask them to link to you. You have to be creative to make them do it or offer something in return other than a link back to them! If they agree to link to you, the link text itself has to have keywords relevant to you!

As can be seen from all of the above, SEO is a lot of hard work! Even SEO companies that charge thousands of dollars and have specialized teams to optimize sites sometimes don’t achieve the significant results that they desire. Still, you are far better off applying the SEO techniques described above than doing nothing. It will definitely benefit your website in both the short and long term. A last piece of advice, if you really want to grab that number 1 position in the first page, it will be much easier by choosing a topic on a small niche. It might be something that you are not interested in, but it will help a lot.

Search Engine Optimization : Elements of an SEO Strategy

Of all the areas of Internet Marketing, Search Engine Optimization is the most misunderstood, and potentially the most important to your marketing efforts. There are millions upon millions of pages of web content out there — you can work hard, build a great site, and then be totally lost in the shuffle. SEO is important. It’s also a very complex process that requires patience, careful planning and a long-term approach. If you’re just getting started with:

Selecting an SEO firm

Trying to start a search engine campaign on your own

Reviewing your current SEO efforts

. . . read on. This article should provide you with a high-level review of the SEO process, dispel a few SEO myths, and help you understand legitimate optimization strategies. What is Search Engine Optimization?Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, defies easy definition. But here’s a short version:

Search Engine OptimizationUsing keyword analysis and other legitimate practices to gain the highest possible search engine and directory rankings, under a given key phrase, for a given URL.

Every SEO professional in the world just cringed, so I’ll break this definition down a bit and hopefully prevent a hail of angry e-mails:Keyword Analysis is the process of mining keyword search data to find the best balance between the keywords you need and the best potential search niche. More on this later. Search Engine means an automated search engine. ‘Search Engines’ include Google, AlltheWeb. com, Yahoo (powered by Google plus their own directory information), AOL Search, Ask Jeeves and MSN Search. A search engine obtains its results from ‘spiders’ or ‘bots’ — small programs that come to your web site read it in much the same way you would: By reading the content on a page, and then moving from page to page via links. A directory, on the other hand, is built at least in part by human beings reading sites and other information and deciding where each site fits into the directory structure. Yahoo’s directory area and Open Directory are both examples of directories. Ranking is the numeric rank reflecting your position in the results list when someone performs a search on a particular set of keywords. Highest Possible means getting as close to number one as you can. Sometimes you just can’t get that number one spot. Maybe someone else has a 400-page web site solely dedicated to the key phrase for which you’re attempting to optimize. Or maybe they’re paying a fortune in advertising. That’s life, sometimes. . .

Key Phrase is the keyword or set of keywords someone types into the little ‘search’ field in Google or Alta Vista or any other search engine. A URL is the address of one page on your site. Most search engines display keyword search results and provide a link directly to the page most relevant to those results, rather than your home page. It’s very, very important to keep that in mind when you build and optimize your site. Legitimate Practices is a pet peeve of mine. A true search engine optimization campaign will not use practices such as page or content cloaking, redirects, or lists of links (so-called ‘link farms’) but relies on good coding practices, well-written content, steady link popularity work and site features that will be every bit as valuable for site visitors as for search engine ranking. Anything less is a short-term fix that will likely reduce your rankings more often than increase them. So, the long version of the definition would be:

Search Engine OptimizationUsing keyword analysis, good coding practices, well-written copy, link popularity analysis and careful site organization to move a web page as close to the number one search results position as possible for a given key phrase, in both search engines and directories.

Hey, that’s not so bad after all. But how do you get started? First, you separate reality from myth. . . SEO Urban LegendsThere are quite a few SEO myths out there. Here are my favorites:The Keywords META Tag Matters. Mostly wrong. Only Inktomi pays any attention to the keywords meta tag. You should do something basic, but don’t bother putting in keywords that aren’t supported by your page content. Search Engines can read Flash, images and video. Sorry, and Ford isn’t selling a flying car yet, either. Search engines can read one thing: Text. Anything else, while perfectly legitimate as a design tool, will not help your ranking. And relying too heavily on Flash or images may reduce your site’s visibility. Google is one partial exception — they can read some links in Flash, but still have very limited ability to read Flash content. Mirroring my site in multiple locations will improve ranking. Actually, just the opposite. Duplication of content will generally have no effect or, worse, reduce your ranking in major search engines. Most search engines now have rules against this form of ‘spam’ and may reduce your ranking or ban your site altogether. ‘Doorway’ pages improve ranking. Pages that have lots of keywords but then quickly redirect to the main site will not help you in major search engines, such as Google. And, if someone catches you and reports you to Google or the other search engine, you may be banned altogether. A ‘landing’ or ‘bridge’ page, though, that’s designed to be as useful for users as for search engines, and does not redirect the user, can help by providing keyword-rich content that’s genuinely worthwhile.

Firms promising to get me #1 rankings in 10,000 search engines for $99. 95 can help. I alternate between tooth-grinding and hysterical laughter when I see these ads. First, there aren’t 10,000 search engines. Actually, there are probably 10-20 you should really worry about. Getting listed in the other thousand or so is largely a waste of time. Second, no one can guarantee any ranking in any search engine for a specific keyword. Period. And finally, the price is less than half the cost to get an express submission in a single directory (Yahoo). Chances are anyone trying to get you to spend the $99. 95 is operating a ‘link farm’ where they list dozens, or hundreds, of sites. While they won’t hurt your ranking, they won’t help, either. To learn more about how to choose an SEO firm, check out Google’s article: http://www. google. com/intl/mr/webmasters/seo. html. Firms charging me more money and guaranteeing a #1 ranking on Google can help. This is the latest SEO scam. I can get you a number one ranking on Google, too, as long as I get to pick the keyword or can get you ranked under a fairly unique company name. But no one, and I mean no one can guarantee a #1 rank under a specific keyword. Even Google says so. Forget the myths — if an offer seems too good to be true, it is. The truth is that search engines are now almost savvy enough to read your pages like a human being would, so anything that will drive away a typical site visitor will also probably reduce your ranking. Things that will increase your search engine ranking include:

Well-written content

Good, clean HTML code

Useful, relevant TITLE tags

Useful, relevant DESCRIPTION tags

Relevant, appropriate links from other web sites

There are some basic steps that, well executed, will do more to increase your page rank than an ocean of snake oil. The SEO Campaign ProcessA typical SEO campaign starts with keyword analysis, and then emphasizes insuring your site doesn’t impede search engine bots and follows up with ongoing link and traffic analysis. If you like pretty pictures, here’s one:

What’s a Bot?A ‘bot’ is a program used by a search engine to read the content of your site into a directory. I mentioned this briefly in ‘What is Search Engine Optimization?’ above. Keep up, now. . . .

Step 1: Keyword Analysis. Ah, keywords. If you say the right word enough times on your site, you’ll get that coveted #1 spot, right? Wrong. Choosing the right keywords starts with you making a list of the keywords or phrases under which you’d like to be found, and typically ends up somewhere completely different. Typically, selecting the best keywords is a four-step process:

List the keywords and phrases under which you’d like to be found.

Find out whether anyone searches on those keywords, and whether they’re searching for relevant items.

Find out how many other sites are struggling for rankings under those keywords.

Pick keywords with the same meaning but a better search-to-competition ratio.

Maybe I want to rank #1 under ‘Search Engine Optimization’. Guess what? There are 686,000 other URLs in Google trying for that spot. Hmmm. But wait! Under ‘Seattle Search Engine Optimization’ there are only 19,000. So, I targeted that key phrase, instead. And guess what? We got a #3 ranking. Don’t forget about relevance, either. If you want a high ranking under ‘tires’, you’re going to have your work cut out for you. And in the end you’ll likely end up getting found for ‘bicycle tires’, ‘automobile tires’, ‘spare tires’ and who knows what else. Is it worth it? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. But you have to do your homework to find out.

Data Mining and KeywordsIf you’re doing a campaign for a large site, you may end up testing and comparing thousands of keywords and phrases. Having a good data-mining tool (even Excel will do) on hand is important when you’re doing keyword analysis. We use S-Plus, by Insightful Software. It’s saved our lives, and clicker fingers, several times.

There are several tools that help you research the number of searches and competitors for keywords. Wordtracker (http://www. wordtracker. com) is a good one — don’t depend on their results from Overture, though, unless you’re specifically preparing an Overture campaign. Metacrawler’s MetaSpy tool is worth a look, too. Ideally, look at results from a few different sources. Keyword analysis is the hardest part of a campaign, in number-crunching terms. It requires a lot of work and may not tell you what you want to hear. But in my experience it’s critical to a successful campaign. Step 2: Search Engine Readiness. Almost every web site we review has one or more problems that will prevent search engine bots from properly reading all content. Typical showstoppers include:

An all-Flash or all-images home page

A home page that automatically redirects to another page

Pop-up ads (does anyone really read these things?)

A site full of pages with fewer than 400 words on a page

Broken links

Navigation that is generated by JavaScript

No TITLE or DESCRIPTION tags

A major step in any SEO campaign is making sure that the site will present the friendliest profile to search engines. Happily, the investment in optimizing will also pay off in a faster, more universally compatible site.

Step 3. Content and Site Preparation. You’ve done your research: You know which keywords match your message, and your site’s HTML code is one big search engine welcome mat. Now it’s time to make sure that your site contains those keywords. This is where I most often see folks get confused — should you rewrite your web content to emphasize keywords? Yes, but with extreme caution. Should you make small, appropriate changes? Yes. Here are my guidelines for content preparation.

Don’t write for keywords (much). This almost always leads to stilted, hard-to-read prose. Writing keyword-rich content that really works for users is an art form. Be careful.

Do a little careful editing. If you use the word ‘car’ but ‘auto’ is the keyword you need, chances are you can do a few replacements without marring your carefully crafted copy.

Spend time on the titles and description tags. Make sure every page in your site has a unique, relevant TITLE and DESCRIPTION tag.

Never use an automatic page generator. Tools like WebPosition Gold offer to generate optimized pages for you. Don’t. They tend to hurt your ranking as much as help, and they generate ugly, ugly pages.

Write more stuff. More content is almost always better. If your site is just missing a specific keyword or phrase, but you think it’s important, then your potential customers probably do too. By adding a few more pages, or a white paper, or some other content focusing on those absent keywords, you’ll likely help visitors and improve your keyword ranking at the same time. And, the more text-rich your site is, the better the odds that you’ll catch longer, stranger but really important key phrases that you can’t anticipate.

Step 4. Link Analysis. Quite a few major search engines (Google, most importantly) weigh your ‘link popularity’ when ranking your site. A more accurate term, though, is ‘link analysis’, because these engines don’t just count up the number of links to your site. They look for links near and containing relevant text. So a page full of links, one of which happens to be yours, won’t help very much. But a link from a related site, near a short paragraph that contains relevant keywords, will probably give you a boost. Having keywords in the link itself is even better. A quick example:

http://www. portentinteractive. com doesn’t help much. For search engine optimization, visit http://www. portentinteractive. com is much better. For search engine optimization, visit Portent Interactive where ‘search engine optimization’ is the link to Portent, is the absolute best case.

There are a few ways to build your link popularity:

Contact sites that relate to yours and request a link exchange. This works really well, but obviously takes a long time.

Syndicate your content. If you can provide an easy way for interested webmasters to link directly to relevant stories on your site, you provide an instant link popularity boost, and get your message out to boot.

Start an affiliate program. If you sell a product, consider setting up an affiliate sales program.

Google’s ‘One Site, One Vote’ RuleGoogle awards a lot less weight to a link to your site if that link is on a page with lots of other links. That’s why so-called ‘link farming’ doesn’t work. Ideally, you want a link to your site from a page that includes relevant content and not that many other outgoing links. Step 5. Submit your site. Many search engines, Google included, allow you to submit your site for free. Generally you can submit your home page and let the search engine crawl the rest of your site. Some directories and engines offer paid ‘express’ services, and some, like Teoma, require that you pay for URL submission. Which engines you choose depends on your budget and campaign. Step 6. Review, Revise, and Keep Going. Think you’re done? Wrong — search engine optimization is an ongoing project. At least once per month, review your rankings, site traffic reports and link popularity and tweak your site as necessary. The tools you need to measure results are:

Site traffic reports. Any web hosting company should provide you with a web site traffic report, and almost all of the reporting tools in use today provide a ‘referrals from search engines’ section. Take a look at this section for a good measure of campaign results.

Link counts. Use the link: command on Google (see above) to determine your link popularity.

Your keyword list. Search on the relevant search engines to see if your ranking has improved.

Your brain. You have to interpret what you see, and decide whether changes are warranted. There’s no hard and fast rule for this, and no magic formula. Sorry about that. . .

So now you’ll get instant results, right? Well, not quite. . . A Word About ExpectationsSearch engine optimization can take time. Even Google only refreshes its entire index once a month, so don’t expect instant results. If your first registration run doesn’t generate increased rankings within a month or two, don’t panic. Look at your site traffic and search on the keywords you chose. Make sure that the search engine you’re checking actually includes your site, too — most likely the bots just haven’t gotten around to ‘crawling’ your site. Still stumped? Find a professional. Sure, we cost money. But you may have missed something about your site that’s preventing a good keyword rank, and a second set of eyes can help. A Solid Marketing StrategyObviously, Search Engine Optimization is a big job. But nothing can send more traffic to your site, for lower per-click cost. If you follow the basic steps, and keep at it, you will definitely get results. What’s really, really important is to make sure you don’t award too much weight to one step (such as link popularity) at the expense of the others. A well-rounded campaign will provide solid, long-term results.

What about pay per click?Pay-per-click services, such as Overture and Google Adwords, are very different animals. If you’ve done your keyword analysis you’re halfway there, but there are other tasks. I’ve not talked about them in this article because, well, they need an article of their own. Check back soon. . .

Understanding Search Engine Optimization

If you want to build a building there are many things that may not be required but are highly recommended.

* Blueprints* Correct Tools* Informed Experts

Perhaps the most important tool would be the blueprints as they paint the picture of where you want to end up. The key to understanding search engine optimization is not much different from creating a construction blueprint. You are after all building a domain, it just happens to be a virtual one as it relates to the World Wide Web.

*** Find Your Niche ***

When people visit your website they want to know that you know what you are talking about in a given subject. One of the best ways to convey this is by creating your content around their needs.

Therefore, if you are building a website related to basket weaving it makes no sense to speak of auto mechanics. The converse is equally true.

Bottom Line: FIND YOUR NICHE

*** Long Tail Keywords ***

After choosing your target market or niche it’s time to start building content. It’s sad to see people going to all the trouble of building their websites without first doing the research. My favorite way of finding the right keywords is a concept called bum marketing. Done right this technique has a direct impact on. . .

* Your domain name* Titles of your articles* Content of your web pages

And that’s just the start.

A free service I use which identifies what long tail keyword I should focus on is available at no initial cost from HitTail. com.

*** Bad Bad SEO ***

With the above information in hand many people set out to try to “trick” the search engines. I guess they figure that they need to “out-smart” those cute little search engine spiders in order to succeed on the web.

My thought on the matter is simply that if you want results you can be proud of, then doing proper SEO is not that difficult. Here are some key points.

* 1 or 2 long tail keyword focuses per page* 300 – 500 words per page* Use your selected keyword phrase in the title* Use your selected keyword phrase no more than 2 times within your article* Include the meta tag information no matter what you hear other people saying

*** Wrap Up ***

Building a high quality house doesn’t happen over night. Neither does a high quality website where people are eager to return. However, if done right your success can be phenomenal. Which is why understanding search engine optimization fundamentals is indeed important to your success on the web.

Easy Search Engine Optimization – Talk the Talk

Being discoverable is what the internet is all about. It means putting yourself about a bit, so that your customers can find you. The more places you can be found, the more your customers will find you.

It’s the equivalent of putting a postcard in the post office window advertising your services. The more post offices and shops the postcard is in, the better chance you have of being discovered. This is what being discoverable means. This is a metaphor for search engine marketing.

You don’t need to be a computer guru to get your head around this. Even if you don’t know how to do this yourself, at the very least you now understand what you are trying to achieve, and that is – you want to be found. You want to be found anywhere and everywhere that your customers hang out. When customers can find you, they can buy from you.

In this article I am going to discuss the initial steps that need to be taken on the journey to discovery which makes a website discoverable by search engines which is known as search engine optimization or SEO, using search keywords.
Search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN play a major role in discovery and are the place that most of your customers go when trying to find services and products like yours. The words your customers enter are called search terms. Search engines match search terms to websites they have listed, or indexed in their database.

When searching, customers type in a string such as ‘cheap flights’ and press the search button. Search engines return a list of sites that they think are most relevant for the search term ‘cheap flights’. For the purpose of this article, it is sufficient to say that search engines will search through their database for websites containing the words ‘cheap flights’.
The words ‘cheap’ and ‘flights’ are called keywords. All sites returned will contain these words somewhere on the site.

Any website that doesn’t contain theses keywords will not be returned, even though it may be relevant. If a site owner preferred the term ‘low cost airline’ over ‘cheap flights’, their website would not appear in the results of the ‘cheap flights’ search – what a pity.

Talk the talk. It’s the first thing a website must accomplish to become discoverable and is a major goal in search engine marketing – SEM. Talking the talk means using the search keywords and search terms that your customers use, word for word.

In the example above, any site involved in airline travel needs to include the keywords ‘cheap flights’ if they have this service to offer, and if those are the words that customers use to search for that service.

This is a new phenomenon in the world of marketing, known as search engine marketing. If you want to be discoverable online – you need to mirror the words that your customers use. You are not free to choose these keywords, because if they don’t match your customers search terms – you won’t be found. This doesn’t apply to global brands because everybody knows who they are and will search for them by name.

Small to medium sized enterprises do not have this luxury. Do not be fooled by the results of searching for your own website address. Yes – you are top of the list – problem is – nobody knows your website address – so their not going to search for it.

Your site needs to be found for the services and products you sell, and the first step to discoverability is to describe them using the search terms and search keywords that customers use to discover them.

Rising Black Hat SEO Techniques

SEO techniques are divided into two parts, techniques that search engines recommend as part of good design, and those techniques of which search engines do not approve. These techniques are known to many webmasters as the White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO. White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, whereas black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing.

The one reason why many webmasters still employ Black Hat SEO techniques is because of its quick results compared to White Hat. However, its results may only go as far compared to White Hat SEO which can provide permanent or long-lasting results. Although issues pertaining to the use of Black Hat SEO have been widely diminished by changing a search engine’s algorithm, such as the use of keyword stuffing in Meta Tags or Link Farming, several techniques have been currently used to manipulate the results of search engines. Some of these techniques have not yet been widely used as Black Hat SEO, but many consultants have come to consider these techniques are indeed a violation of search engine guidelines. These Black Hat SEO techniques include:

Scraper Sites This technique usually involves copying all the content of a website to a scraper site by use of web scrapping, which is a tool used for extracting information from a website. Although it may look like a search engine, usually because search engines does the same method by extracting information from a website and indexing it on their own, search engines are not scraper sites. In the last few years, and due to the advent of the Google Adsense web advertising program, scraper sites have proliferated at an amazing rate for spamming search engines. Open content sites such as Wikipedia are a common source of material for scraper sites. Scraper sites are widely used today as a way to gain profit by use of advertising programs such as Google AdSense. According to different SEO Philippines consultants, these sites are commonly known as Made for AdSense. Made for AdSense sites are considered sites that are spamming search engines and diluting the search results by providing surfers with less-than-satisfactory search results. The scraped content is considered redundant to that which would be shown by the search engine under normal circumstances had no Made for AdSense ebsite been found in the listings. Sybil Attack Named after a book called Sybil, a case study of a woman with multiple personality disorder, Sybil Attack is an attack wherein a reputation system is subverted by forging multiple identities in peer-to-peer networks. A reputation system’s vulnerability to a Sybil attack depends on how cheaply identities can be generated, the degree to which the reputation system accepts inputs from entities that do not have a chain of trust linking them to a trusted entity, and whether the reputation system treats all entities identically. A faulty node or an adversary may present itself with multiple identities in a peer-to-peer network to appear and function as distinct nodes. By becoming part of the peer-to-peer network, the adversary may then overhear communications or act maliciously.

By masquerading and presenting multiple identities, the adversary can control the network substantially. Splogs Spam blogs or usually known as Splogs are blogs particularly made for spamming. This is used to promote affiliated websites or to increase the search engine rankings of associated sites. This in turn will increase the PageRank or backlink portfolio of affiliate websites. There is frequent confusion between the terms “splog” and “spam in blogs”. Splogs are blogs where the articles are fake, and are only created for search engine spamming. To spam in blogs, conversely, is to include random comments on the blogs of innocent bystanders, in which spammers take advantage of a site’s ability to allow visitors to post comments that may include links. In fact, one of the earliest uses of the term “splog” referred to the latter. Splogs have become a major problem on free blog hosts such as Google’s Blogger service. By one estimate, about one in five blogs are spam blogs. According to different SEO Philippines consultants, these fake blogs waste valuable disk space and bandwidth as well as pollute search engine results, ruining blog search engines and damaging bloggers community networking. One particular problem is using popular blog names from other bloggers.

Splogs sometimes choose a name similar to a popular blog in order to benefit from the occasional incoming link from careless bloggers, who think they are linking to the popular site. Splog activity can cause problems for legitimate bloggers, if search engines respond to splog by blocking or treating as ‘suspicious’ all web addresses in a particular domain. Page Hijacking Page hijacking is a form of search engine index spamming. It is achieved by creating a rogue copy of a popular website which shows contents similar to the original to a web crawler, but redirects web surfers to unrelated or malicious websites. Spammers can use this technique to achieve high rankings in result pages for certain key words. Page hijacking is a form of cloaking, made possible because some web crawlers detect duplicates while indexing web pages. If two pages have the same content, only one of the URLs will be kept. A spammer will try to ensure that the rogue website is the one shown on the result pages.

Cookie Stuffing

Cookie stuffing can sometimes be a blackhat online marketing technique used to generate fraudulent affiliate sales. It involves placing an affiliate tracking cookie on a website visitor’s computer without their knowledge, which will then generate revenue for the person doing the cookie stuffing. Income is generated when the affected user visits the target affiliate site and either creates an account or makes a purchase, depending on the terms of the affiliate agreement. Operators of websites that allow user-generated content, such as forums that allow users to post, should be aware of this technique in order to protect their visitors from this attack. Cookie stuffing can be accomplished with as little as including an image in a forum post.

Blog Spamming

One of the most widely used form of Black Hat SEO today, blog spamming. This is usually done with the use of a software that automatically generates random comments to blogs. According to different SEO Philippines consultants, any web application that accepts and displays hyperlinks submitted by visitors may be a target. Adding links that point to the spammer’s web site artificially increases the site’s search engine ranking. An increased ranking often results in the spammer’s commercial site being listed ahead of other sites for certain searches, increasing the number of potential visitors and paying customers. Cloaking Cloaking refers to any of several means to serve a page to the search-engine spider that is different from that seen by human users. It can be an attempt to mislead search engines regarding the content on a particular web site. Cloaking, however, can also be used to ethically increase accessibility of a site to users with disabilities or provide human users with content that search engines aren’t able to process or parse. Successfully Marketing Your Blog With Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Techniques

The final method you can use for marketing your blog is through the use of search engine optimization, or SEO, techniques. Search engine optimization involves taking steps to make your blog more attractive to the search engines so the search engines will provide your blog with a higher ranking on the organic search engines results page. Obviously, the higher your blog is ranked on the results page, the more likely it is that people will visit your site. And, since these search engine results are completely free, you don’t have to worry about paying every time someone clicks on your link.
Getting your blog to rank naturally high on the search engine results is possibly the best way to market your blog. Not only does it cost nothing, but many people don’t bother to look at the sponsored links that are brought up from a PPC campaign. In addition, simply having your site ranked high on the list automatically makes your blog appear to be more relevant and reputable in the eyes of those who are searching for a particular keyword phrase.
There are numerous ways you can get your blog to rank higher in the search engine results pages. One method is to incorporate certain keyword phrases into your blog posts. In order to give yourself the best chance for success, visit a site such as Google Adwords and look at the popularity of various phrases that are related to your site. Ideally, you should target those phrases that are searched often but that do not yet have a great deal of competition on the Internet.
Creating links within your blog also helps increase your search engine standing. By linking various relevant posts to one another, the search engines are better able to crawl throughout your blog and analyze what it has to offer. It is also beneficial to build up your incoming links, which are links coming to your blog from other blogs and websites.
There are several methods you can use to increase your incoming links. If you engage in social networking, you can build your incoming links by leaving a link to your website at forums, blogs and other social networking websites. You can also increase your incoming links by guest blogging on other blogs and by submitting articles to article directories. If your article is good enough, it may go viral. This will help increase your incoming links while also improving your overall reputation within your target market.
The way your blog is set up can also have an impact on your search engine ranking. If your blog is full of broken links, for example, the search engine spiders will not be able to comb through your blog properly. As a result, the spiders may think your blog has less to offer than it really does. Therefore, if you are not comfortable with the technical aspect of maintaining a blog, it may be worthwhile for you to hire an expert to help you with the initial set-up. That way, your blog will be attractive and easy to navigate for search engines and for your readers.
