Glad you ask. This is the big one that everyone wants to know (at least everyone who doesn’t already know it). So many people are looking for the magic bullet that will make them an overnight online money making success that they miss the true secret formula.

The answer is simple though: “Work”… You have to work really hard, always keep going, learn from your failures, keep on trying again, don’t stop and never give up…

Sounds easy enough right?

Sorry if this isn’t the big reveal that you were hoping for, but I’m afraid that if you are really serious about escaping the 9-5 and becoming a bonafide internet profiteer, there’s not really a lot more to it than that. Ok, so you need to know the basics first. You need to decide what your model is – there are plenty to choose from; and you need to figure out your game plan.

But the thing that stands in the way for sooooo many people is this one stumbling block. The majority of people will never get started, or will fall at the first hurdle, forever looking for the magic formula that eludes them.

Days 1-3:
Over the next 3 days I want you to read some “beginners guide” type articles. Keep a notepad with you and note down all of the options; affiliate marketing, adsense, eBay etc…

Days 4-5:
Look into each option and write pros and cons. Brainstorm possible themes based around your own skills and interests and finally, pick one single option that fits your skill set. Now run with it.

Days 6-7:
Get started! Research is great, but there comes a time when you have to try and see what happens. You might fail, but if you do you will learn a lot and your next attempt will work so much better.

That’s it now. You are ready to put the secret formula into action. Make sure you read up regularly and get ideas to help improve your strategy. Don’t let yourself get sidetracked though. Don’t fall into the trap of procrastination, make sure you put in some work every day and don’t lose momentum.

Second, you need to start putting content on you website to do this simply start writing articles that you might find helpful to others.  For example, if your site is cars and fixing them you might write an article on how to change your oil.  That way people will find it useful an by doing this you stand a much better chance of being found in the search engines.  On top of writing content for your own site think about guest posting on other peoples sites.  Guest posting on similar sites related to your topic will spread the word about your site and by putting a link in the article back to your site it will also help boost it in the search engines bringing in even more traffic.

Finally, the last thing you need to do is monetize your site to earn money.  One way to do this is with Google AdSense.  The great thing about AdSense is that it is relatively easy to set up and very low maintenance.  Typical earnings with AdSense very but their are people making as much as $10,000 and more.  Another way to monetize your site is to join an affiliate program that sells a specific product that is related to your site.  For example going back to the car example if your showing people how to do an oil change maybe you show an affiliate program that sells oil and every time someone buys you could earn a commission.

In the end this is a very simple passive income opportunity.  Just follow the basic steps and stay consistent and over time you’ll eventually start to make an income online.

Less Blogging + More Marketing = Greater Success

In life there is such a thing as having too much of a good thing. Take chocolate for example; lovely in small or even quite large quantities, but even for the most dedicated chocaholic there is a limit. You have too much and it starts tasting a lot less delicious.

So what’s that got to do with blogging?

Glad you ask. I am always amazed by the number of newbie bloggers who start out with a well intended enthusiasm and dreams of raking in the Google Adsense earnings only to quickly find they are getting no-where; despite having buried themselves under a mountain of blog posts.

Don’t worry, I did this once too. But writing a new post every single day (or more) is not a good idea for the majority of bloggers. Here’s why.

Less is more:
Quite simply, you can’t write at your best in this volume. Write less and do a better job of it. Quality content is king; rubbish content is just rubbish.

There’s only so much to say:
In most niches, if you try to write something every day, quite simply, you will end up repeating yourself. This isn’t helpful for you or your readers.

What should you do?

Instead of creating all of this content for yourself, why not get going with some marketing effort and grow your readership? Create enough posts to say what you have to say, and check your old posts regularly to see if you can improve them. 50 well refined, great quality posts is better than 200 reasonable ones any day of the week.

And with all the time you have freed up you can get doing some link building, networking or whatever sort of marketing you like to start getting some readers through the door.

Trying to make money online is a business and like all online business opportunities, you have to be able to multitask and do lots of things well. Just churning content isn’t enough.

This can actually lead to a much better site for yourself, because instead of spitting out new content constantly, you are forced to re-use your older content and improve it. You can also start to improve your site in other ways too, like making the navigation better and making your posts more findable.

Remember, quality beats quantity every time, so if you can’t achieve what you want with 50 of your best posts, another 50 less good ones aren’t going to help.

Illegal SEO Techniques And How Not To Use Them

These are not even visible to the human eye.   These pages are just a script that redirects the search engine to your website.   This process is known as cloaking.   This is also considered illegal by Google and other search engines.   Landing or Gateway Pages that work are in the form of a well written article that people can read and they are not cheated into clicking or being forcefully redirected to your website. As a non technical person, you may not recognize these cloaking devices.   You need to ask them point blank if they are using this device.   Do not swallow any story about the script being unique and Google not being able to sniff it out.   The fact is that this is trickery and Google is run by technical people who will find this out and penalize your website.

3. Keyword Stuffing

You may be familiar with meta tags, tags and other scripts in the tag category.   Key word stuffing is the oldest SEO technique and the first to be banned.   Key word stuffing was banned because people started making the text in the same color as the background so that humans could not see it but search engines could.   Now search engines are intelligent enough to sense that you are using these words inappropriately and they ban such websites.   You need to view the html code.   For that, open the website in your search browser, then click view and then sourcecode.   On the webpage, if you see a whole lot of keywords repeated hundreds of time, then your webpage has been stuffed.   This is illegal.

4. Scraper pages

These again are illegal because they display content automatically taken from popular websites.   These sites are set up to display adsense.   However, search engines have become good at banning such websites.   You need to keep monitoring your website and closely observe what your SEO expert is doing so that you are protected from these illegal techniques.

Rising Black Hat SEO Techniques

SEO techniques are divided into two parts, techniques that search engines recommend as part of good design, and those techniques of which search engines do not approve. These techniques are known to many webmasters as the White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO. White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, whereas black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing.

The one reason why many webmasters still employ Black Hat SEO techniques is because of its quick results compared to White Hat. However, its results may only go as far compared to White Hat SEO which can provide permanent or long-lasting results. Although issues pertaining to the use of Black Hat SEO have been widely diminished by changing a search engine’s algorithm, such as the use of keyword stuffing in Meta Tags or Link Farming, several techniques have been currently used to manipulate the results of search engines. This is used to promote affiliated websites or to increase the search engine rankings of associated sites. This in turn will increase the PageRank or backlink portfolio of affiliate websites. There is frequent confusion between the terms “splog” and “spam in blogs”. Splogs are blogs where the articles are fake, and are only created for search engine spamming. To spam in blogs, conversely, is to include random comments on the blogs of innocent bystanders, in which spammers take advantage of a site’s ability to allow visitors to post comments that may include links. In fact, one of the earliest uses of the term “splog” referred to the latter. Splogs have become a major problem on free blog hosts such as Google’s Blogger service. By one estimate, about one in five blogs are spam blogs. According to different SEO Philippines consultants, these fake blogs waste valuable disk space and bandwidth as well as pollute search engine results, ruining blog search engines and damaging bloggers community networking. One particular problem is using popular blog names from other bloggers.

Cookie stuffing can sometimes be a blackhat online marketing technique used to generate fraudulent affiliate sales. It involves placing an affiliate tracking cookie on a website visitor’s computer without their knowledge, which will then generate revenue for the person doing the cookie stuffing. Income is generated when the affected user visits the target affiliate site and either creates an account or makes a purchase, depending on the terms of the affiliate agreement. Operators of websites that allow user-generated content, such as forums that allow users to post, should be aware of this technique in order to protect their visitors from this attack. Cookie stuffing can be accomplished with as little as including an image in a forum post.

Blog Spamming

One of the most widely used form of Black Hat SEO today, blog spamming. This is usually done with the use of a software that automatically generates random comments to blogs. It is not too difficult to get an improved search engine ranking by using simple SEO techniques. In spite of what you might have read or heard elsewhere, there is no great secret about how you get a high search engine listing. I read online about this mentoring program and how for a low cost I could learn from the expertise of this Internet Marketing Company – it was quite a famous one, well listed on Google. He then asked me for my credit card details: how many cards I had and how much credit I had on each. He then asked for $12,000. Obviously I refused, but he went on at me, and eventually agreed to provide me with a cut down version of the mentoring program for $6,500. Being na? I relented under his sales pressure, and gave him the numbers of my two credit cards. I now had 2 cards up to the hilt on credit.
To cut it short, I was given information available free online, and ended up with an ebook of which I sold 12 copies at $27. No mention of improved search engine ranking methods, or any other ways of getting my website in the top page of the listings. My page wasn’t even in the top 100 because I went through the top 10+ pages and not one of my web pages was there. I would have though my $65. 00 would have at least earned that information, but no. I decided then that I would teach myself how to get my web pages listed on the first page of Google’s search results.
Where this is going is that I recently received another phone call in response to some other form I must have filled in, but can’t recall. This guy offered me the earth if I gave him my credit card details. He stared by telling me that if I didn’t take his offer we would part as friends. However, when I refused I got nothing but abuse: he ended by telling me I was a failure and deserved to fail because I had refused his great offer.
This was one of the top SEO programs online at the moment, but I can’t remember which it was because I was so shocked at this guy’s attitude. He said if I failed to make money, then his company would offer me a company credit card to pay of what I owed my own credit card company – yeah. . .
I was a failure till I discovered Adsense arbitrage and some other online money-making tricks, and when he called me that I laughed at him. However, it could have been a traumatic experience for a newbie like I was the time I made my mistake, and I think such sales methods should be outlawed.
You don’t need it. You can succeed without these so-called top dogs or internet guru big-heads that abuse you if you don’t do as they say and give them your money. All you need to succeed is to have a bit of tenacity and be positive that you will succeed, and some knowledge of how to get your web pages noticed by the search engines. In fact you don’t even need the search engines. You can make a lot of money without ever using a search engine, or needing it to list you.
Nevertheless, you can get your website listed on Google if you want, and in a high position for a number of your keywords. All you have to do is to use some simple rules on each of your web pages and to connect them together in the right way. You don’t need to pay $12,500 or max out two of your credit card – doing that only adds to the robbery happening on the internet day in and day out by people who lie to you.
What is true is that you must learn some simple rules, and also learn some simple information that, yes, is on the internet if you know where to look, but also that needs put together in a certain way that not everybody knows about. If you know how to link your website pages together properly, how to link them to some external web pages and how to construct and write each page to keep the search engines happy, then that is all the information you need.
An improved search engine ranking is not difficult to achieve, and it is also easy to get listed on Google with two days if you know how to do it. In fact there many secrets and tidbits of SEO information available that can make all the difference to your website, although you have to find them before you can use them to your advantage.
