There are a ton of internet marketing tools out there. Some are useful and some are well… crap. How do you know which ones are good? More importantly, how much should you expect to pay for one?
You should expect to pay… 0! Yes that’s right. The best things in life are free (in this case). Let’s start with the obvious ones. There’s the Google Keyword Tool, Twitter, WordPress, Squidoo, EZineArticles, etc. There’s many many more. Without these basic internet marketing tools, we would not get ones that are built on top such as Niche Refinery, TweetDeck, Market Samurai to name a few. There are even more of these but those are the ones that I tested and like.
Free is good but only if it does something for you. Free movie tickets aren’t any good if can’t attend because they’re in another country. Free food isn’t any good if they are a few days old and aren’t edible. And as such, free internet marketing tools aren’t any good if you spend more time using them as opposed to them saving you time. That’s what they are supposed to do. They are a tool, a device that speeds up a particular task.
- The Google Research tool is good if you know how to pick good keywords so you can focus your time writing articles as opposed to spending more time using the keyword tool and not writing articles.
- If you are in TheKeywordAcademy, then it makes sense to be using Niche Refinery as it speeds up the tasks associated with building a website the TKA way.
- Market Samurai makes sense if you are in the Thirty Day Challenge.
Guess what, even the Niche Refinery and Market Samurai can be used for free. You an get a trial and see if they work for you. That’s the whole point in this article- to pick a tool that works for you and not the other way around. If you find that it doesn’t, move on.
Here’s where you can go to get access to these tools:

Niche Refinery
Niche refinery is a part of The Keyword Academy, which is an online SEO course that has a $1 first month trial. They have active forums, a keyword research tool (the niche refinery) and a guest posting system. I highly recommend checking them out. I am a member there myself!
